Life is full of choices, and one of the most meaningful decisions you'll make for your four-legged friend is how to nourish them. Providing your dog with an array of whole foods is vital for their overall health, longevity, and specific nutritional requirements. Understanding the importance of fresh ingredients, KYS Jake's Grass Fed Beef and Tilly's Pasture Raised Chicken recipes are crafted with care, adapting to the seasonal harvests of our local farms. In the warm, vibrant days of summer, our meals come alive with the vibrant colors of organic green beans, nutrient-rich kale, and sweet, juicy blueberries, all bursting with flavor and essential vitamins. As the seasons change, we embrace the cozy comfort of hearty sweet potatoes and rich, creamy squash, ensuring a balanced and varied diet that keeps your pet happy and healthy throughout the year.
It all began over 20 years ago with three fluffy Pugs and a spirited Boston Terrier. As a conscious eater, I was determined to provide my furry companions with the highest quality food available—but I quickly discovered it was no easy task. I tried numerous options, from kibbles to freeze-dried meals and canned products, all proudly touting themselves as "natural" or "organic." With a background in understanding the importance of a whole food diet, I believed there had to be more nourishing alternatives out there. This quest inspired me to engage in nutrition webinars, classes, and training sessions conducted by holistic and integrative medicine veterinarians and nutritionists from across the globe. By learning about the role of whole food nutrition for dogs I was able to put into practice various recipes beginning with my own pack. The outcomes were amazing.
My dogs thrived on a diet rich in whole foods, primarily organic, combined with love, exercise, and clean water. Thanks to this commitment, they lived vibrant long lives.
As the only provider of whole food recipes for dogs in New Hampshire, we understand the deep responsibilities that come with dog ownership and the profound impact it has on their health and happiness. That’s why at KYS, we are passionately dedicated to crafting food that brings out the very best in your beloved dogs.
Our veterinarian and nutritionist evaluated small batch grain free recipes are made with grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, organ meats, and organic seasonal vegetables, sourced from local farms, braised in bone broth to ensure complete and diverse nutrition for your dog.
By supporting local farmers who are either certified organic or practice ecologically sustainable farming methods, we are confident in the quality of our ingredients, which meet our exceptionally high standards.
By 'knowing the source' we not only ensure transparency of where and how ingredients are grown and produced, pet parents can make more informed decisions as to the best choice for their dog.
At KYS Food for Dogs, we believe that your dog's food should be both delicious and produced with sustainable farming and business practices. By partnering with local farmers and growers, we minimize our environmental impact by sourcing ingredients close to home, composting (and yes, our chickens are very well-fed), as well as using compostable packaging made from bamboo and unbleached plant fiber.
We have no hidden agenda and no greenwashing—just the facts. KYS Food for Dogs is as committed to the planet as we are to your pup. Your dog deserves great food, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of our environment.
Additionally, we believe in giving back to our community by supporting the local rescue group, Dawgs Fights Back. Through our social media channels, we raise awareness about dogs available for adoption and fund raising efforts while contributing a percentage of our profits each month.
